Shane Hall Commits to Marshall

2014 Johnson Central forward Shane Hall committed to Marshall Wednesday while on an unofficial visit. Hall is one of the top seniors in the state.
Hall helped lead Johnson Central to a 22-11 record last season capped off by a 15th region championship. They fell to Ballard in the first round of the KHSAA Sweet 16, but Hall had 28 points and 8 rebounds in the loss. Johnson Central will be the favorite to advance out of the 15th region again this season.

Hall said the proximity to home was a factor in him choosing the Thundering Herd. He also mentioned that he has no plans to take other visits before the early signing period. "They were close to home, I liked their coaches and the players seemed nice."
Hall isn't the first player from Paintsville to sign with Marshall. 1998 Mr. Basketball J.R. VanHoose also played there and is a member of their Athletics Hall of Fame.
