Fern Creek hosted the Building Lives Through Sports Network and Sound Mind Sound Body showcase Monday night and some elite talent was on display.

Carr was the highest profile prospect to compete Monday night and he didn't disappoint. He's listed at 6-foot-5, 215-pounds but he looked about 240-pounds to me. Regardless of a few pounds, he was a total mismatch all night in the one on one and simulated game segments.

The Oak Park native has a huge frame, ran well, and high pointed every ball and came down with it easily. Twice I saw him Moss defensive backs with good coverage. Carr insists that he's not a tight end and maybe he won't be, but he sure looks like a vertical seem buster to me. If he does play wide receiver think Kelvin Benjamin.

Carr holds offers from LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, and over 20 other programs nationally. Recently he dropped a Top-Five of LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Purdue, and Texas A&M.

Much like his older brother Dez Fitzpatrick who plays for Louisville, Christian is a technician who runs crisp routes and shows excellent acceleration and deceleration and gets out of his breaks smoothly for such a long receiver. The last time I saw Fitzpatrick was at Louisville's 2018 premier Summer camp and I thought he looked good but he looked much more polished Monday. He dominated in one on ones and in the simulated game segment running every route on the tree with precision and purpose. I didn't see him drop a pass all night.

Fitzpatrick has been a frequent visitor at West Virginia, a program that runs the air raid offense and has a need for a big outside receiver or two. I'm not aware of him saying he has a favorite at this point but speculation is that it's West Virginia.

Hinton is a smooth defensive back who played corner and safety at the show case and look savvy and physical at both spots. If you don't believe me he's the kid with the black hoodie locking everything down in the video below.

He holds offers from Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Purdue, Syracuse, Western Michigan, and a handful of FCS schools. Don't be surprised if he earns a few more Power Five offers during camp season this Summer, he's a fluid tactician with good patience, length, and eye discipline.

Mausi is a versatile linebacker with offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Miami of Ohio, Toledo, Western Michigan, and a few FCS programs. He covers well for a linebacker and even lined up as a press corner Monday night. He's a competitor for sure and will do well in camp settings as a coverage linebacker this Summer. I could see some teams preferring him more as a box safety, rover type.

Jordan Watkins was the best of the Kentucky participants by a wide margin. He holds an offer from Kentucky put up impressive testing numbers at the Best of the Midwest Combine with two sub 4.5 40-yard dash performances. He needs a strong senior season to make up for the momentum he lost after having to sit out the first half of his junior year due to transfer rules. He has been trying to make up for lost time this offseason by attending camps and participating in 7v7 tournaments but nothing allays the concerns of college coaches like game film. The opportunity is there for the taking at Butler as Watkins will replace Kentucky signee Demontae Crumes as the teams deep threat.
