---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apollo - The trio of Sam Seargant, Hunter Shelton and Eli Wright will give the 3rd Region major trouble this coming season.
Ashland Blazer - 2015 forwards Dikembe Dixson and Nick Miller led the Tomcats in scoring last season. With both of them returning the Tomcats could push for a 16th region title.
Augusta - Brent Bach nearly led the state in scoring last season and will be a sleeper Mr. Basketball candidate. Losing Tanner Kelsch hurts, but improvement from sophomores to be Camryn Snapp, Crawford Owens and Connor Maddox could make them better than a year ago.
Bardstown - 2014 forward Seivon Schooling will team with 2015 guards Keanu Young and Eljay Cowherd to form a solid core that should compete in the 5th Region.
Bishop Brossart - The Mustangs have a very good 2014 class returning. The class is highlighted by Alex Trentman and Drew Burns, but Erik Rieger, Jake Jennings, Ted MacDonald and the rest of the senior class are ready to make some noise in the 10th Region.
Bowling Green - They return 2014 guard Nacarius Fant and 2014 forward forward Joseph Ayers. Add in 2016 guard Perry Ayers, who has had a breakout Summer, and you have a team that should challenge for the 4th Region crown.
Bryan Station - The Defenders have extremely good guard play with Marcellous Washington, Jordan Henry, C.J. Walker and Daquice Allen. If they can find a way to adequately defend bigger team they'll be more than competitive in the 11th Region.
Calloway County - They return their top 5 leading scorers from last seasons team which made it to the 1st region finals. Skyler Hunter, Michael Arnett, Parker Adams, Wade Carter and Connor Wagner all have big plans for this season.
Elizabethtown - The Panthers return 3 of their top 4 scorers, losing only Zane Najdawi who moved out of state. Dominique Harding, JaVon Cotton and Nic McDonald plan to make a lot of noise in the 5th Region.
Graves County - They lose Mason Beale and Tyler Starkey, but the return of seniors Peyton Puckett, Zach Kimbler and Jake Williams gives the Eagles a good chance in the 1st Region.
Henderson County - Cain Cooper, Kaleb Duckworth, Brady Norman, Davis Simmons, Darryl Smith and Demajajuan Washington all return after playing key roles last season. The Colonels are hoping the can challenge Hopkinsville again for the 2nd Region crown.
Iroquois - 2014 guard Devon Johnson is one of the best guards in the state that nobody talks about. Johnson can score from anywhere on the court, and Iroquois has a good mix pieces around him.
Lawrence County - The Bulldogs are one of the best young teams in the state. Brothers Robert (2016) and Timmy Dalton (2017) team with sophomores to be Austin Chaffin, Grant Kiser and Brandon Richardson to form a really solid core.
Lexington Catholic - The Knights lost a lot of quality players from last years team. However, they return really good guard play. 2015 guards Tanner Johnson and Jarod Griffin are two of the better junior to be in the state.
Lincoln County - 2015 guard Jacob Conway was the leading scorer from a year ago and he returns. But 2015 point guard Timmy Taylor is the guy that makes the Patriots go.
Male - The Bulldogs return a lot of size in Steven Julian, Will Parker and Chris Leon. That size may be hard for a lot of 7th region teams to handle. 2015 guard Jalen Brasher and 2016 guard/forward Chris Drabo are both guys to watch as well.
Montgomery County - Losing Mr. Basketball candidate Omar Prewitt is big. But the return of Bryan Wallace, Julian Persawl and Darius Jones gives the Indians a chance at repeating as 10th region champions.
Ohio County - 2014 point guard Trevor Lewis returns after leading the Eagles in scoring a year ago. 2014 big man B.J. Morse also returns as does one of the best freshman to be in the state, Trace Young. The Eagles are hoping they can return to Rupp Arena again this year.
Owensboro - 2015s Aric Holman, Justin Miller, Darion Morrow and Dylan Sanford form a really nice core that will compete in the 3rd Region this year and next.
Seneca - They return 7 of their top 9 scorers from last season. 2014 forward Brandon Trotter is going to be the star but also watch out for 2014 guard Will Maddox and 2014 forward Jeonta Samuels.
Sheldon Clark - 2017 guard/forward Dylan James combines with 2015 guard Chase Parsley to form a very dangerous duo in the 15th Region.
St. Xavier - The Tigers lost a lot of leadership and scoring from last years team. But the return of 2014 point guard Robert Shaw is huge. They also have some younger guys who can step in and fill roles right away like Will Olson, Ashanti Burgess and C.J. Shanklin.
Taylor County - The best 2016 prospect in the state, Quentin Goodin, teams up with one of the best senior sleepers, Caleb Wigginton. The improvement from both this Summer may be enough for Taylor County to make noise in the 5th Region.
Thomas Nelson - 2014 forward Kevin Ndahiro is eligible this season. Ndahiro plus talented freshman to be A.J. Youngman make a formidable duo for the 5th Region to deal with.
West Jessamine - The Colts return 7 of their top 9 players from a year ago, highlighted by 2014 guard Daulton Peters. They should be a team to watch closely in the 12th Region.
