Sunday,Scott County senior wide receiver Scott Daniel announced his commitment to Eastern Kentucky University.
Daniel picked the Colonels over Wafford University, he also had interest from Kentucky. The offer he received from EKU was actually given to Daniel during a visit at Wafford. Wafford was for a while the favorite according to Daniel.
As you hear many say in the recruiting process it is all about the fit. "It's the best fit for me. Close to home but far enough away."Daniel explained. "It's a good sized school and a system I can fit easily into."
The Colonels did their job in making Daniel feel wanted as well. "Everyone I talked to knew who I was and made me feel at home. There wasn't a bad thing about it." He concluded.
Now Daniel can focus on the playoffs and getting back on the field from an injury to his leg, that has basically sidelined him from the past three games.
Daniel and the Cardinals face Bryan Station in the second round of the KHSAA playoffs Friday at home.
