KY Preps Preseason Basketball Top 25: 24

I've taken a long hard look at the Top teams in the state for the 2013-2014 season and am ready to release a Preseason Top 25. I'll be releasing two teams each day at 8 A.M. and 4 P.M. for the next 12 days and one team on the 13th day.
The 24th ranked team in our rankings features one of the top seniors in the state.

#24: Dixie Heights Colonels (2012-2013 Record: 17-14)
Region: 9th (District: 34)
Coach: Ken Chevalier
Key Losses: Alex Milligan and Cameron Reuhr.
Key Returnees: Brandon Hatton, Adam Daria, Nick Niehaus and Austin Schreck.
Breakdown: The Colonels will be led by Mr. Basketball Candidate 2014 G Brandon Hatton. Hatton is one of the best scorers in the state, having averaged 23.4 points per game last season. However, unlike some scorers Hatton does it with efficiency hitting 45% of his field goals (39.2% from 3 point range.)
Hatton isn't alone though, returning is fellow 2014 G Adam Daria who was the second leading scorer on last year's team. Also returning is a talented group of juniors to be that includes a nice mix of big men and guards. Guys like Austin Schreck, Liam Rabe, Nick Niehaus, Mitch Bolin, Andrew Hedger and Matt Isbel will all be expected to up there game if the Colonels are to be a threat to win the 9th Region. Also it's said that Drew Moore, who quarterbacks the Dixie Heights football team, may be playing this coming season. If Moore does indeed play that will give the Colonels another athletic player and added depth.
The Colonels return all the major components off last year's team. A year of experience, bonding and growth should allow the talented sophomore class to step up in a big way and give Hatton the support he needs to win a 9th Region championship.
