2016 Football Prospect Rankings

Tuesday, Kentucky Preps released its ranking of the top ten football-playing prospects of the Commonwealth's 2016 class.
On the list you'll find two running backs, one wide receiver, two offensive lineman, three defensive backs and two athletes.
You'll also find that five of the prospects are from Lexington -- Drake Jackson put in this group as he lives just outside of the city -- two from Louisville, two from western Kentucky and one from eastern Kentucky.
Head of the class
Drake Jackson leads a very talented 2016 class. The 6-foot2, 280-pound center prospect has MVP'd at major camps as well as garnered the best football offers in the country.
The ultra-competitive lineman would have it no other way than being No. 1.
While most the Bluegrass is fixated on the generational player, by Kentucky standards, in the 2015 class, Damien Harris. There might be another one cloaked behind an under .500 team and the fact he's a lineman.
My Old Kentucky Home
Of the ten listed, four of them are committed to Kentucky and, including those four, six hold offers from the Wildcats.
This class is said to be the best, in terms of quantity, in sometime around the state. And Mark Stoops is trying to do what he said he was going to do at is introductory press conference -- keep the best players from Kentucky, in Kentucky.
The Wildcats should be able to rival what WKU has done the past two years with in-state commits in 2016.
Viva Lex Vegas
Exactly half the athletes listed hail from the Lexington area.
And none of the prospects attend the same school, either. It's safe to say all around Lexington is a hotbed for football prospects, right now.
