Regional Rankings

Big Time Yurts

Movement

- The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 10th regions all saw no change to their rankings.

- The 4th region proved to be especially crazy since the last set of rankings came out. After Warren Central and Bowling Green seemingly any team can beat another on any given night. Greenwood, Warren East and Barren County round out the top 5 this week due to their wins over their regional counterparts.

- Elizabethtown handily beat John Hardin at home to move them to #3 in the 5th region rankings. Central Hardin stayed at #5 despite losing to John Hardin and Elizabethtown.

- A Bullitt East loss to Fern Creek in the L.I.T. shifted the 6th region rankings. DeSales and Iroquois both moved up a spot, while Western moved into the Top 5.

- Eastern took Male's spot in the 7th region Top 5, Male lost to Jeffersontown in the first round of the L.I.T. by 15 while Eastern lost to Doss by 5. Waggener was also strongly considered, they lost to Fern Creek by 1 in the L.I.T.

- Cooper jumped into the 9th region Top 5 after Boone County fell to St. Henry on the road. Cooper narrowly lost to Holmes and beat Simon Kenton last week.

- Bryan Station moved to #4 in the Top 5 via their win over Henry Clay. Lexington Christian fell out of the rankings after going 0-2 last week.

- The 12th region is one of the most wide open regions in the state and the change in this week's rankings reflect that. Boyle County stayed at #3 despite a loss to Lincoln County. West Jessamine moved to #4 after beating Lexington Christian and barely losing to undefeated Montgomery County. Southwestern moved to #5 after beating Pulaski County. East Jessamine and Pulaski County both fell out of the Top 5.

- Knox Central and Whitley County both moved up in the rankings after beating Clay County and Corbin respectively. Jackson County moved to #1 with Clay County losing, Clay County moved to #3 and Corbin moved to #5.

- Knott County Central, Perry County Central and Cordia each moved up a spot as Cordia beat Hazard. Buckhorn stayed at #5 despite losing to Cordia.

- Lawrence County moved down to #3 and Johnson Central moved up to #3 after Johnson Central beat Lawrence County at home. Shelby Valley and Sheldon Clark stayed at #4 and #5 despite losses to Betsy Lane and Lawrence County respectively.

- Fleming County, Ashland Blazer and Boyd County remained at #1, #2 and #3 despite all losing to teams out of the 16th region. Rowan County stayed put at #4 after going undefeated last week. Elliot County claimed the #5 spot by beating last week's 5th ranked team, Morgan County, in the 16th Region All "A" Classic tournament.
