Kentucky All-Stars Announced Mr/Ms. Basketball Named

This past weekend both Kentucky's Mr. Basketball and Miss Basketball were named. As expected Dominique Hawkins (Madison Central) and Makayla Epps (Marion County) were named. Both Hawkins and Epps won state titles this year.

Makayla Epps led Marion County to a 39-0 record and was also named a McDonalds All-American. Epps has signed to play at the University of Kentucky next season.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central to a 32-5 record and a stunning 65-64 state title victory over Ballard. Hawkins was named Sweet 16 MVP and has seen his recruitment pick up since his Sweet 16 performance. Purdue, South Carolina and Western Kentucky have all offered among others. The University of Kentucky is heavily involved as well, though they've yet to offer Hawkins.

Following Friday's naming of Mr. and Ms. Basketball the Boy's All-Star teams were announced.

12 Seniors were named Kentucky All-Stars, they'll be coached by Allen Feldhaus Jr. (Madison Central) and Chris O'Hearn (Mason County) will serve as the assistant coach.

The Kentucky Junior All-Star team was announced as well, 19 members of the 2014 class were selected, O'Hearn will be the coach.

The Girl's All-Star Teams were announced early Sunday morning. 12 Seniors were selected and 18 juniors were selected.

The Senior team will be coached by Chris Souder (Mercer County) and Jennifer Parsons (Corbin) will be the assistant coach.

The Kentucky All-Stars will take on the Indiana All-Stars on June 14th at Freedom Hall in Louisville and June 15th at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The Kentucky Junior All-Stars will take on the Indiana Junior All-Stars on June 7th in Kentucky and June 8th in Indiana.
