The 2017 class is shaping up to be extremely solid with a lot of talented freshman to be. Kentucky Preps will be taking a look at some of the best freshman girls to be in a series called Freshman Spotlight. We'll be asking each of the players 20 questions to get to know some of them as they start their high school career.
2017 Elizabethtown Guard Jada Stinson moved to Elizabethtown this Summer from Hoover, AL. Stinson played for the Alabama Lady Hustlers for 14U and Alabama Elite for 15U. She averaged 10 points, 4 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game during the AAU season. Stinson averaged 20 points, 7 steals, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game for Simmons Middle School in Hoover, AL.
Q. (Donald Yaste): What Highschool will you be attending?
A. (Jada Stinson): Elizabethtown High School.
Q. (DY): How has this Summer prepared you for this coming high school season?
A. (JS): It has taught me to use my mind as well as my athleticism.
Q. (DY): What expectations do you have for yourself going into this high school season?
A. (JS): Help the team win a State Championship and improve my skill set.
Q. (DY): What are your expectations for your team?
A. (JS): Work hard at practice and leave it all on the court after every game.
Q. (DY): What is your current height and weight?
A. (JS): I'm 5'7" 110 pounds.
Q. (DY): Describe your style of play?
A. (JS): Attack on offense and pressure on defense.
Q. (DY): What are you strengths?
A. (JS): Ball handling and my ability to shoot with my left and right hand.
Q. (DY): What are your weaknesses?
A. (JS): I'm not as strong as some of my opponents.
Q. (DY): What do you hope to accomplish through playing basketball?
A. (JS): Earn a D-I scholarship.
Q. (DY): Have any colleges reached out to you at this point? If so who?
A. (JS): Not yet.
Q. (DY): What is your greatest fear?
A. (JS): That I get injured and can never play ball again.
Q. (DY): What is your best characteristic?
A. (JS): I'm really laid back and always ready to have fun.
Q. (DY): What is your nickname and how did you get it?
A. (JS): All-Star, I got it from the Hoover High varsity girls because I was the best 7th grader in Hoover, Alabama and I could beat some of the high school players.
Q. (DY): What is one hidden talent you possess?
A. (JS): Dancing.
Q. (DY): What is your favorite quote?
A. (JS): "Winners practice till they get it right, Champions practice till they can't get it wrong" - Michael Jordan

A. (JS): Shrimp Scampi.
Q. (DY): Who is your biggest role model?
A. (JS): My Dad.
