According to Scott Anderson and also confirmed by his father, Lafayette Center Jackson Davis has acquired three new offers to add to the current Texas Tech offer - Indiana State, Tennessee Tech, and WKU.
Davis has heard from all the offering schools for over a year before they finally pulled the trigger. Davis' father, Johnanthon Davis, is under the impression that his son's upcoming trip to the Nike EYBL Peach Jam with his AAU team the Kentucky Travelers and the July open recruiting period gave the smaller schools a reason to get involved early.
He then reminded me that Jackson only played in the first EYBL session in Los Angeles after he was undercut onto his back and had to sit out the rest of the live period before coming back in Session 3 in Dallas.
Lafayette's big man doesn't have any visits planned for the summer. He will focus on the Peach Jam for now. Then attention will turn to recruiting and a decision will be made on where he will take is five official visits. Davis could take as many as five additional unofficial visits as well.
Jackson and Johnathon will have a busy August and September as they attempt to get a lot of the visiting out of the way before the start of the season.
